Surviving the First 2 Months With Twins

Realistic tips from a twin mom who lived it.

The first 2 months with twins are intense. Beautiful, exhausting, overwhelming. You’re not doing it wrong — it’s just a hard stage.

Forget perfection. Forget routines. Forget “doing it right.” Your only job: keep everyone fed, safe, and loved.

Feeding twins is a full‑time job. Breastfeeding, pumping, formula — none of it is easy. Choose what keeps you sane.

You will be tired. You will feel foggy. And yes — it’s normal for one twin to sleep more than the other.

Their needs are different, even from birth.

You’re not meant to do this alone. Let people help with bottles, dishes, laundry, holding a baby. Small things matter.

This is not the season for a perfect home or perfect days.  This is the season for softness, grace, and survival.

It Gets Easier
